What is the RTF Enterprise Fund proposal?
An Enterprise Fund would allow the RTF (Recycling Transfer Station) to operate like a business unit where RTF revenues pay for RTF expenses.
Today, RTF revenues (stickers & fees) go into the Town’s General Fund and are split using the 61/39 formula, leaving only a portion to cover RTF costs. Under an Enterprise Fund, 100% of RTF revenues would support RTF operations, equipment, and reserves.
This is a public forum where citizens voices were heard.
